Srinagar (KNO) : Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir strongly condemns the unjustified use of power by the Indian army upon a peaceful protesting mob which resulted in the death of a budding youth Khalid Ahmad Dar of Khudwani and injuring two other local youth. The Kashmiris have been witnessing such bestial actions by the Indian forces resulting in the death of thousands of Kashmiri youth and injuries to a numberless person including men, women and children. These types of merciless actions are increasing day by day. In Khudwani Kulgam in such a beastly action, the Indian army directly targeted the peaceful crowd of people who were protesting against the state-sponsored atrocities and demanding their basic right of self-determination promised to them through the security council of UNO. Instead of seeking a just and lasting solution of the Kashmir issue according to UN resolutions or the tripartite dialogue, the Indian establishment is using unjustified power against the unarmed people in order to force them to surrender their rights or suppress their genuine voice. Jama’at believes firmly that unless the Kashmir issue settled permanently in accordance with the aspirations of the concerned people, no stable peace can even be dreamt by anyone. Further, it is the best interest of the millions of people living in the sub-continent for their real prosperity and progress that this long-pending issue be settled as early as possible according to the satisfaction of the people of Kashmir. The use of might has never been able to suppress the genuine demand of any nation in the past nor is it possible in future. The arrogant powers got vanished due to their stubbornness. Jama’at-e-Islami expresses solidarity with the bereaved family of Khalid Ahmad Dar and wishes an early recovery of the injured. Further, Jama’at pays homage to the martyr Farhan Ahmad Wani and expresses sympathy with his family and relatives. (KNO)
